What is the difference between the RESTORE Diesel Fuel Treatment and the Diesel Fuel Injector Cleaner

The Diesel Fuel Treatment improves the diesel fuel by increasing the Cetane number, which helps to prevent engine pre-ignition, and wastage of fuel as a result of this, and knocking noises. Pre-ignition can put a hole in your piston if left untreated. The improved combustion of the fuel means better fuel economy too. It also contains corrosion inhibitors, water dispersants and an agent to de-activate sulphur in the fuel (the combination of moisture and sulphur in the fuel produces sulphuric acid which as you know is very corrosive), all which help to reduce wear on the fuel pump and injectors.

The Diesel Fuel Injector Cleaner contains a higher level of solvents to crack and remove varnishes and carbon deposits on the injectors to produce a better spray pattern, and to keep cylinder walls, piston rings and even the fuel pump free of varnishes and deposits. This also helps to improve fuel combustion and economy and reduces exhaust smoke (usually blackish) caused by dirty injectors. The two products should not be used together at the same time, but you could use one treatment with a full refill of your tank at the pump and then the other at the next complete tank fill-up if you wished.
