WHAT IS RESTORE?

Restore_logoEvery vehicle's engine wears out as a result of friction during normal operation. This friction causes wear of the reciprocating and rotating metal surfaces, such as bushings, bearings, cylinder walls, piston rings and valve guides. Friction in the cylinder walls leads to compression loss. Lost compression results in your engine having less power --- it runs poorly and has sluggish acceleration. It also can cause increased oil burning, exhaust smoke, and poor fuel economy.

RESTORE Engine Restorer and Lubricant is a unique engine additive that repairs those worn-out areas in the cylinder walls and other reciprocating and rotating metal surfaces, thereby restoring cylinder compression and improving engine performance to nearly new original condition.

RESTORE is the only product that contains the proprietary CSL™ formula. HOW RESTORE WORKS

Friction and heat cause wear of the cylinder walls and other friction-producing metal surfaces inside every car's engine. As a result of this wear, compression leaks develop between piston rings and cylinder walls. This gradual loss in cylinder compression results in less engine power, sluggish acceleration, oil burning, exhaust smoking and poor fuel economy.

RESTORE Engine Restorer and Lubricant is a unique engine additive that fills and seals microscopic leaks in cylinder walls and other reciprocating and rotating metal components in the engine. Restore works to increase and balance compression across all cylinders which means a smoother running engine with more power, less oil burning and better fuel efficiency.

Although RESTORE is added to the motor oil, it is not an oil additive. Why? Because an oil additive, by definition, is a chemical which is added to automotive oil in the crankcase with the intended purpose of modifying the oil characteristics such as viscosity, detergency, foaming, etc ...

RESTORE is not an oil additive in this sense. It is rather an engine additive because the oil in the can, which is a 30W SAE mineral oil containing detergents and anti-corrosion agents, acts as a means of carrying the RESTORE CSL™ particles safely into engine oil in the engine where the CSL™ particles act on the engine itself, playing a double role :

RESTORE works effectively wherever friction and wear cuts scratches in metal surfaces, such as cylinder walls, bushings, bearings, valve guides and hydraulic tappets. As a result, RESTORE has been known to cure piston-slap, noisy tappets and even fledgling bottom-end knock.

RESTORE is not an oil thickener and contains no chlorine, PTFE, Teflon, silicone, graphite, moly or ceramic substances (asbestos). Each can of RESTORE contains billions of micro-particles (2 microns +) of the proprietary formula CSL™ (Copper 60%, Lead 40%, Silver trace) suspended in a high performance motor oil.

RESTORE can be added directly to the engine oil in the sumps of most 4 stroke Petrol, Diesel or LPG engines. It is safe to used in turbo-charged engines and has no effect on catalytic converters. RESTORE is NOT formulated for use in HEUI (Hydraulically Actuated Electronic Unit Injection) engines or any engine where the injectors operate off engine oil pumped at high pressure. Likewise, RESTORE should not be used in engines where the engine oil is used as a hydraulic fluid to regulate variable valve timing (VVTi engines). RESTORE is not formulated for use in 2 stroke petroil mixes or wet clutch environments (see our Frequently Asked Questions page for more details).

PLEASE NOTE as miraculous as its properties may seem, RESTORE cannot repair broken parts such as cracked cylinder heads or re-plate bearings which have worn right down to the copper lining. If you are buying RESTORE to repair a problematic engine please ask your mechanic for a diagnosis of the fault before you commence treatment so that your expectations for RESTORE are not unrealistic.

"If your engine is low on compression and a bit smoky you’ve really got to try Ametech Engine Restorer. You add it at an oil change and it reverses engine wear. I know these magic cure-alls have been around for ages, but this one really does work. A mate’s Bentley S2 had a flickering oil light at low revs and clouds of blue smoke from the rear. Rather than swallow the two grand hit for an overhaul, he dumped two litres of Ametech (Engine Restore Oil) into the sump. His S2 is now ‘running as sweet as a nut’, with no smoke and no blinking oil pressure light. Ametech’s not cheap, but it’s a very sound investment."
